Returns and exchanges

Damage or flaws in craftsmanship constitute valid reasons for return, and under such conditions I will gladly provide a refund, minus shipping costs, provided that I am notified within 24 hours of receipt that there is an issue. (Because I ship everything with delivery confirmation I will be notified when you have received your package.)

A damaged item might have, for example, a broken chain, shattered stone, damaged pin back, etc. Please notify me within 24 hours of receipt the specific damage and your intent to return the item.

Flaws in craftsmanship can be defined as an unsoldered component or embellishment, sharp or unfinished edge, disconnected bezel or other condition that makes the piece unwearable. Please notify me within 24 hours of receipt the specific flaw and your intent to return the item.

Please note: this work is intentionally “organically industrial”, made of metals that by nature will tarnish. In some cases the piece may be waxed or patina'd to diminish the tarnishing but not in all cases and not by request. As such, tarnish, dark spots, small indentations, blemishes and minor inequalities are NOT indications of flaws in craftsmanship.

I do my best to provide through photos and text, the most accurate description of the item possible. Photographs are usually taken in natural light, and nothing is enhanced. I do not take returns or make exchanges on the basis of scale, weight or color. Different computer monitors will show slight variations of the same color and I cannot be held responsible for these variations.

I do not accept returns that arrive without notice.

Payment is to be made in full at the time of your order. Items are shipped within 3 days of purchase, unless they are "made to order", and sales tax will be added.
Items are shipped first class USPS within 3 working days of purchase, unless the item is "made to order." Should you need rush service, please contact me and I will do all I can to accommodate your request. Please keep in mind that in some cases, this may incur additional shipping costs. Made to order items will be confirmed within 24 hours, and will generally ship within 2 weeks.

Domestic shipments are sent with delivery confirmation. Maggie's Meltdown is not responsible for items lost in the mail or damaged in transit. If you would like your shipment insured, please contact me BEFORE you actually checkout. Shipping costs will then be adjusted to reflect the insurance cost and you will be notified of any additional fees.

International shipments are shipped without insurance unless you specifically request it. If you would like your item shipped by registered mail (the only way to include tracking and insurance), please contact me BEFORE you actually checkout. Shipping costs will then be adjusted to reflect the insurance cost and you will be notified of any additional fees.

All items are shipped in packaging appropriate for immediate gift giving.

IV. CLEANING YOUR MAGGIE'S MELTDOWN JEWELRY: Baking soda, mild dish soap and water are all you should need to keep your piece looking new. The best way to clean your jewelry without messing up finishes or patinas, is to mix up a bit of water and baking soda into a thick paste. Dip a damp, SOFT toothbrush into the paste and scrub your piece vigorously. Rinse well and dry thoroughly right away. This is safe for both silver and stones.
